Coalition Description:​

Members of RIPERC (Rhode Island Public Employees Retiree Coalition) are Rhode Island AFT/Retirees, National Education Association Rhode Island-Retirees, RI AFSCME Council 04 Retirees, Rhode Island Association of Retired Principals, Rhode Island Retired Teachers Association. Members of the coalition will suffer a financial blow as a result of the passage of the Rhode Island Retirement Act of 2011. In order to meet legal expenses the coalition has created a Legal Defense Fund. Each member of the in the coalition has been asked to pay $50.00 a year, until such time that some sort a settlement is reached. The coalition meets regularly with Carly Iafrate, the RIPERC attorney.
